BORO COLLECTION
Boro (often stylized as "boroboro") is a Japanese term meaning something tattered or repaired. It refers to a style of textiles that have been mended or patched together over time, creating a visually striking patchwork of various fabrics. Traditionally, boro textiles were created out of necessity, as clothing and household textiles were patched repeatedly to extend their life. This was particularly common in rural Japanese communities where resources were limited.
Boro embodies the Japanese aesthetic of "wabi-sabi," which appreciates the beauty in imperfection and the value of natural objects and processes. Today, boro is appreciated for its historical significance, artistic beauty, and sustainability, and it influences modern fashion and design globally.

In the Chinese zodiac, each year is associated with one of the twelve animals in a repeating cycle. Each animal year is further associated with one of the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water), creating a 60-year cycle before the zodiac repeats.
